Why Should I Accept Jesus Christ as my Lord & Savior?

by: Pastor Isaias T. Songcuan Jr.

It is aggressively revealed in the scripture that only those who are born again signifies the sheep of our Lord Jesus (John 10:1-18). These are the ones who hears His Voice, and will not follow the voice of strangers (John 10:5 ). Their ears and their feet are trained to hear and obey the voice of the shepherd. They are also trained to walk in His footsteps. There are numerous blessings and benefits that are promised in the Scripture for anyone who makes Jesus his or her shepherd in their lives. These are 7 blessings and benefits if Jesus Christ is your Shepherd:

1) Salvation:

In Hebrews 7:25 says, “Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them (NKJV).” In other words, Jesus will lead all those who follow Him into the Kingdom of God.

2.) Eternal Life:

The Holy Bible says, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life (NIV).” In short, anyone who receives Jesus Christ in their life to be their Lord and Savior has Eternal Life in Heaven where no more pain, sorrows and death (Revelation 21:4).

3). Abundant life:

It is written in John 10:10, “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly (NKJV).” The beginning of abundant life experience in Christ is Salvation. For instance, anyone who believes in Him is saved from sicknesses, diseases, saved from poverty, and in spiritual life (3 John 1:2 ). The Holy Scriptures states, “as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue (2 Peter 1:3, NKJV).” Moreover , in Psalms 23:5, “You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over (NKJV).” Jesus is able to prepare a table for His sheep, even in the presence of their enemies. Let us see Psalms 23:6, “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord Forever (NKJV).” This is the assurance of God’s sheep that He will not refuse or deny any good things from his sheep.

4). Divine Guidance:

Jesus is Omniscient, meaning He knows everything. In Proverbs 15:3 says, “The eyes of the Lord are in every place, beholding the evil and the good (KJV).” Therefore, God is able to lead and guide his sheep. He knows the end from the beginning, He knows before hand or in advance to the outcome of any plan or project that His sheep will undertake. He is very much aware of the road that apparently seems promising and encouraging at the beginning, but which may later pose serious danger to His sheep. Jesus has the ability to prevent and stop the danger, and lead the sheep in the paths of righteousness and safety. Jesus is eager to lead His sheep to the paths that will guarantee success, happiness, joy, peace, and everlasting satisfaction.

5) . Divine Protection:

The good Shepherd offers divine protection to the sheep . Jesus laid down His life to protect the sheep from satan, whose whole aim is to destroy the sheep. However, Jesus guarantees the protection for His sheep from all forces of evil , such as native doctors (Quack-quack doctors), witches, wizards, and the occultist power. There is no limitation as regards the extent to which Jesus protects His sheep. He is omnipotent. In other words, He is all powerful. Therefore the protection of the sheep is guaranteed in full. In Isaiah 54:17, “But in that coming day no weapon turned against you will succeed. You will silence every voice raised up to accuse you (NLT).” These benefits are enjoyed by the servants of the Lord.

6). Peace:

In Isaiah 9:6b says, “He is the Prince of peace.” Jesus said in John 14:27 “I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid (NLT).” In all situations of life , we have the peace of Jesus .

7). Victory:

The temptations, trials, and difficulties of life can only be overcome through the leading of the Good shepherd, Jesus Christ. In Him and in Him alone, we are more than conquerors in every situations in life. The scripture is full of all God’s promises for His sheep. The sheep must bear in mind that these blessings are not based upon the prevailing economic circumstances, and that no power or force of the enemy can prevent or stop any of God’s blessing coming upon the sheep. Every sheep must steady His or Her heart on Jesus .

There are some serious consequences of not paying attention and following the Good Shepherd’s voice. The refusal of the sheep to obey the voice of the master (Jesus Christ) will result in grave consequences. When a sheep does not honoring the voice of the shepherd it gets lost , and exposing itself to danger. In our spiritual life, the believers is expected to obey His voice. When the voice of Good shepherd is not obeyed or followed the believer will be astray, and exposes their-selves to danger. Open to be attack by the enemy. The enemy uses such opportunity or chance to afflict the believer with sicknesses, diseases, failures, troubles and heartaches. However, it is encouraging to know that even in such situations the Good Shepherd, Jesus still goes in to search for the lost sheep. Calling on Jesus to repent and return to Him . It is never God’s expectation that we go astray from Him.

The Lord Jesus is the Good Shepherd. He is the only one who cares for you, who nourishes, preserves, protects, leads, guides and provides for the fullness of the sheep. There are numerous blessings God Bestows upon His sheep. These blessings can only be utilize by the obedient sheep. Jesus said in His word, “I know my sheep” ( John 10: 27b). He knows our strength as well as our weak points. He is aware of difficulties you are facing at your work , business, family or at your own home. Jesus knows the need of your Spirit your soul, and your body. Remember always that having Our Lord Jesus as the Good shepherd implies adequate care for you.

Is the Holy Bible a Fairy Tale?

by: Minister Melissa Morales

If the Word of God is a fairy tale written by human beings then why it is the most demanding book throughout history in the world? Do you think that the Holy Bible makes anyone a gullible that gives them a drive to love God more, and gives a person to live better so, they can be blessing to others by showing love and kindness? Are these behavior inspired by a fairy tale? I don’t think so. Many books can inspire but the Word of God transformed lives. Do you not know that there were and are scientist who debunk or refute their own theory that God is not real? For it is written in 2 Timothy 3:16-17, “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works (KJV).” This is the reason whether a person is rich or poor, educated or not cannot withstand against God’s Word. No one and nothing can stop the Truth.

To answer the question if the Holy Bible is a Fairy Tale? No, the Holy Scripture is NOT a fairy tale. The Holy Bible cannot be tame by anything or anyone because it will NEVER PERISH unlike you and me. The evidence speaks louder that the Holy Bible will always be the NUMBER ONE SOLD OUT and ALWAYS BE ON DEMAND BOOK through out history, and throughout the world. For it is consistent about God’s love, His Nature and it is filled with true to life stories that even the history agrees with it. God used His faithful followers to write the manuscript but they were all LEAD BY THE HOLY SPIRIT. Think about this, during those times there were No ready made Bible Book, No internet available, No cellphone not even a telegram for the writers to communicate and agree to each other what to write. In addition, all of them didn’t wrote the Scriptures at the same time. They didn’t have easy access on the manuscript. If we believe the Holy Bible was written by any other like-authors out there. It will NEVER be holy because the book will ONLY be based on human reasoning and knowledge. It will definitely need a revise edition every now and then.

The Holy Bible is unique from all the book that has been written, and about to be publish because it gives life, hope and it tells the TRUTH that set everyone FREE “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart (Hebrews 4:12, KJV).”

Will God Love Me?

by: Pastor Isaias T. Songcuan Jr.

In the book of Luke Chapter 15 verses 11-31 from the Holy Bible. Talks about the “Prodigal Son.” This Parable makes it obvious that GOD was at work. The Father is watching for his lost son, waiting for him, longing for him. While the father wait for his son’s return, he was able to see the younger son when he was still a long way off. Then the father runs toward his son. The father embraced him, he dearly loves him, and the father give him gifts. The Father was fully aware of his son’s behavior and lifestyle. The son disrespected Him, acted outrageously and in the end, his son lost everything. In spite of all, the father lavishes on his son’s return by celebrating extravagantly.

This is a Wonderful picture of the great love of GOD toward us. When we come to Him, Jesus Christ washes away all our evil deeds and not holding them against us. As it is written in Micah 7:19, “He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea (KJV).

The Parable of the prodigal son also shows the attitude of self-righteous. This sin was pictured by the older son. He quarreled with his Father that the younger son had messed up and yet the Father prepared for him the “fattened calf. ” The older brother considered himself better than his younger brother. He could not share with his Father’s joy. The older son’s hardness of heart made him unaware of the riches available to him in his Father’s house. He had no more love for the Father. The eldest son forgotten of all the good things the Father freely provided for him at all times.

Both sin and self-righteousness separate us from GOD . We all acquire GOD’s grace; His “unearned, unmerited” Love for us. HE always continues to seek after us, regardless of state that we are in. We all have sinned and deserves GOD’s Judgement. GOD the Father sent His Son Jesus Christ to satisfy that Judgement. Jesus Christ, the eternal son of GOD who lived a sinless life. He Loves us so much that he died for our sins; taking the punishment that we deserve. He was buried, and rose from the dead according to the scriptures (Mark 16:6). IF you truly believe and receive Jesus Christ alone as your Savior; declaring “JESUS IS LORD” in your life then you will be saved from judgement and spend Eternity with GOD in heaven. This is how much God loves us. Jesus love is available for everyone who truly seek Him.

Is God interested to Hear our Prayers?

by: Minister Melissa Morales

To answer the question, “Is God interested to Hear our Prayers?” The answer is YES! For it is written, Let us then “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you (Matthew 7:7, NIV).” In other words, Jesus is encouraging us to approach our Living God directly. There is no need to go to someone or do some ritual things before stating our prayers. There is no need of those things. Just communicate with God. Whoever you are and whatever you’ve done, God is interested with You because He LOVES You. We do NOT need someone to usher our prayers. We can go to God directly, because Jesus Christ died on the cross. He took away the gap between God and man.

Therefore we can finally ” approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and grace to help us in our time of need (Hebrew 4:16, NIV).” Whatever the season you are in your life, Call to our God in the Name of Jesus Christ (Jeremiah 33:3).

Can Good Works Saved Us?

by: Pastor Isaias T. Songcuan Jr.

Proper Faith will produce proper works. The relationship between faith and works are the result of faith. In the Bible, faith and works are often “CONTRASTED.” They are not the same thing, and the combination of faith and works “DOES NOT BRING SALVATION.” Salvation is by faith alone (Romans 3: 28 & Galatians 2:16). The religious system and their false teachings, and interpretations are always emphasizing that faith and person’s work will result in salvation. This is NOT TRUE because our good works are “FILTHY RAGS” before God (Isaiah 64:6). We cannot do anything to please God by our good works. In Galatians 2:21 says, I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the law (works), then Christ died in vain (needlessly).” Moreover, it is written in Ephesians 2:8, “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God (NKJV).” Therefore, a real Christian that shows good works are the result of saving faith, not a contributing factor to salvation.
